Mallorca may not a renowned as an ice-skating destination but it is still possible to go ice skating on the island during the Christmas festive season.
If you are visiting Mallorca, find out these locations over the island to enjoy some festive fun and to get into the Christmas spirit.
Don’t forget that the ice-rinks don’t close right after Christmas day. You will find many ice rinks stay open up until Three Kings Day, or Dia de los Reyes and beyond.
You will also find that not all the ice rinks in Mallorca are made of ice, but you will find a pista de hielo or real ice rink in Palma.
However, the ice rink at Puerto Portals is made from plastic.
Don’t forget you can hire ice skates if you don’t have them and take gloves or you may not be allowed on the ice. And it’s recommended for kids to wear helmets (not obligatory).
The ice rink in Palma is the busiest, particularly at weekends.
So get there early and when possible, if mentioned below, book your ice skating experience in advance.

Where to go ice skating in Mallorca 2023
Ice Park Pista De Hielo Palma |Ice skating in Mallorca
Ice Park Pista De Hielo is located in Palma beside Palma bus station. It is open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day from 23 November 2023 until 20 January 2024.
Word of warning; this ice skating rink is extremely busy on the weekends and public holidays in the run-up to Three Kings Day.
From Monday to Thursday, the ice skating rink costs €6, and from Friday to Sunday and on holidays, it costs €7.
Each skate session lasts 25 minutes. Remember, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.
Expect long queues and don’t forget your gloves.
Port Adriano |Ice skating in Mallorca
Christmas Park is located in Port Adriano and is open from December 17th to January 9th. It has a 300m2 ice rink, as well as a giant slide.
This rink is made from recycled materials and does not require electricity or water, making it an eco-friendly option.
In addition to ice skating, the Port Adriano features a Christmas Park also features a giant slide.
This slide is 3 meters high and 30 meters long and is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages.
The opening times are from 12:00 to 20:00 (except on December 24th and 31st, when it closes at 16:00).
Christmas Wonderland at Son Amar |Ice skating in Mallorca
Christmas Wonderland at Son Amar is located in Son Amar and is open from 1 December to 22 December.
It has a large ice rink, as well as other Christmas activities, such as a carousel and a Santa’s grotto.
This is not the cheapest option to experience Christmas in Mallorca, as there is a 5€ entrance fee.
Ice skating is an additional 7€ and helmets are available for kids too.
Please note, you will need to book a time to go ice skating in advance too.
Puerto Portals |Ice skating in Mallorca
At the far end of Puerto Portals, you will be able to find a small plastic ice rink which is suitable for little children.
You will enjoy the fantastic Christmas market which runs along through the Port as well as the music, entertainment and festivities throughout the festive season.
The market opens on the 14 December and runs until the 6 January.

Pollensa town|Ice skating in Mallorca
New for 2023: From the 2 December, find an ice rink in the Claustre de Sant Domingo in Pollensa Old Town.
The cost is 3€ for a 30-minute skate, but you will also find free skating sessions and an ice skating disco.
