So the sun is just beginning to set here in Majorca, so we're going to go and check out what Alcudia Old Town is like in the evening

Now our first stop is going to be a walk along the top of the Old Town walls here in Alcudia Old Town, and I do believe we're going to catch a really lovely sunset

So right as you come up the steps onto the Old Town walls, you can see this is one of

the main places that people come and congregate to watch the sunset

So of course at this time of the evening and we're looking at around 8 o'clock here, the

sun hasn't quite gone down but this is just the perfect time to do the walk along the

top of the old town walls here and really get the absolutely gorgeous views of the sun

setting across the island. So just make sure that you do this Old Town wall walk during the evening just before it

gets dark as well because if you want to have a good look over the top of Alcudia Old Town

then this really is the time to come. You can see some of the lovely terraces here and some of the lovely apartments as well

It just never gets boring. Now let's get down off these old town walls and go and check out the restaurants here in Alcudia, Old Town

so you know what to expect if you're coming here for dinner. Now the first restaurants I'm coming across are at the far end of Alcudia, Old Town

Now it's great to see so many places have opened up this summer. Now this looks like a great little spot

They do some really nice wines here, as well as Pamboli dishes, which are ham and cheese with bread

So we're just sort of walking into the area where they have the Sunday and the Tuesday markets

And on an evening you can see the restaurants are still open and they're starting to serve dinner

now if you're coming into Alcudia Old Town you're going to see quite a few shops are still open

a lot of the clothes shops a lot of the tourist shops remain open while everybody is out eating

So of course you have these fantastic little shops selling traditional Mallorquín products

such as pottery and wines and spices too. So I've got some really lovely ice cream shops here

that also sell some really great cocktails too Just to get an idea of prices here you looking at around 6 euros 6 euros 50 for a frozen daiquiri or a mojito

So most people come into Alcudia Old Town to grab a table and to eat

And you can see just how busy it is here. So just looking at one of the restaurants here, the tapas dishes are in the region of 9 to 13 euros

and the paella is in the region of 15 to 16 euros

So I'm down here in Plata Constitucio in the centre of Alcudia Old Town

and you can just see how busy it is around me. I mean almost every single table is taken here

so my recommendation is if you're coming out to dinner to make sure you get here early to get your table

but my visit here is made so much more pleasant by the fact that the Sun has

now gone down. So don't forget to dive off from Palazzo Constitucio too and come

the very interesting floor that they have here, they do have an absolutely wonderful

courtyard restaurant out the back too so definitely worth checking out. Now it's great to see as well at the Cristal restaurant they've got a great mix of vegan

So I'm just outside the pizza restaurant here which actually does some fantastic fresh pasta to

And just to do a quick check on the price of a margarita, you can see they do a margarita

pizza here for €9. So I actually think that's really good value if you're looking for a cheap meal to eat

So we're heading towards 9.30 here and still the shops are open which is just absolutely fantastic

So one thing I absolutely love about Spain and living in Spain, especially during the

summer months, you can still come out and do your shopping late on into the evening

Now most of these shops you'll find will close at around either 9 or 10 o'clock in the evening

okay so the main advantage for coming to have dinner over here in Alcudia Old Town is not only

can you come and sightsee when the sun has gone down and it's so much cooler but also many of the

restaurants that you're going to be eating at as well are in a pedestrianised area too so you're

not going to get cars or motorbikes passing by and it just makes eating out so much better
